The National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, on Monday, led some members of the party’s National Working Committee to a meeting with the Chief of Staff to the President, Pr
of. Ibrahim Gambari.
The meeting, holding at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, is believed to be part of efforts to resolve the crisis engulfing the ruling party as a result of the disqualification of the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, from participating in the governorship primary of the party in the state. Top party chiefs attending the meeting with Oshiomhole include the party’s National Vice Chairman , Inuwa Abdulkadir; National Treasurer, Adamu Panda; and two others.
Obaseki has said he would announce his next line of action on his bid for a second term in office after meeting the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari . The governor has been meeting some of his colleagues elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
