The Organised Labour, comprising the Trade Union Congress and the Nigeria Labour Congress , is set to convene a joint extraordinary National Executive Council meeting today. The development was confirmed by a source within the leadership of the two Labour Centres on Tuesday morning.The outcome of this meeting, it is learnt will determine the fate of the ongoing strike action by the organised Labour.

After a six-hour meeting with the leadership of organised labour in Abuja, the Federal Government expressed President Bola Tinubu's commitment to raising the proposed minimum wage of N60,000.The agreement states that the President is committed to establishing a National Minimum Wage higher than N60,000. The Tripartite Committee, it was agreed, will convene daily for the next week to finalize an agreeable National Minimum Wage.
