Nigeria has recorded 288 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 5,445.
The NCDC also stated that three patients died of coronavirus-related complications in the country, making total fatalities rise to 171.
A breakdown of data obtained from the centre’s website showed that 140 COVID-19 patients were discharged in the past 24 hours across the country. It said, “On the 15th of May 2020, 288 new confirmed cases and three deaths were recorded in Nigeria.“Till date, 5445 cases have been confirmed, 1320 cases have been discharged and 171 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
“The 288 new cases are reported from 15 states- Lagos, Kaduna , Katsina , Jigawa, Borno , Ogun, Kano, FCT, Niger , Ekiti, Oyo , Delta , Bauchi, Kwara , Edo.”
