There is heavy presence of security operatives including the police and others are at the venue to prevent breach or attack on the protesters by thugs.
The protest organised by the Nigerian Labour Congress in solidarity with the striking Academic Staff Union of Universities has commenced in Lagos State.
Mrs Funmi Sessi, state chairman of NLC, gave the directive at a stakeholders’ meeting at the union’s secretariat in Yaba, Lagos state.
