Some gunmen have invaded Obeagu community in the Ishielu local government area of Ebonyi State kidnapping an undisclosed number of people. Sources from the community told SaharaReporters that the gunmen took advantage of the bad road leading to the community and laid ambush on Thursday night and are attacking residents returning from town. According to the sources, the attack occurred at the same spot where the Fulani herdsmen had attacked and killed 17 people in 2021.

He said"I thank God for his mercies, I would have being one of the victims now. I got a call that immediately passed the road the hoodlums struck. Some people I passed on the road were victims." Recall that on March 29, 2021 suspected Fulani herdsmen invaded the community and killed 17 people and burnt vehicle and several motorcycles.
