A fresh cholera outbreak in Ndibokote village, Ezza Inyimagu, Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, has tragically claimed the lives

of 11 individuals, including a nursing mother who left behind her nine-month-old baby.

The outbreak was reported on September 23, and Dr Ekuma revealed that approximately 20 other affected individuals are currently receiving treatment at various medical facilities. Dr Ekuma expressed gratitude to Governor Francis Nwifuru for approving funds aimed at procuring essential medical supplies to combat the outbreak effectively.

In light of the outbreak, the Commissioner advised the public to adopt strict hygiene practices and take precautionary measures to prevent further spread of the disease.
