Boko Haram/ISWAP: Troops neutralise terrorists, destroy gun trucks, heavy weapons in Borno [PHOTO]
The Defence Headquarters has said that its troops have neutralised several Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists, destroyed gun trucks and recovered weapons at Gajigana in Nganzai LGA of Borno State.
According to Enenche, the operation was carried out on May 17 by troops of 212 Bn, Sector 1, Operation LAFIYA DOLE. “In response to the terrorists attack, ground troops and the Air Task Force scrambled its Attack Aircraft and Helicopter Gunships to provide Close Air Support and engaged the Boko Haram Terrorist in exchange of fire with troops. Further exploitation by 7 Div Gar discovered One destroyed gun truck, and Two abandoned gun trucks at Mitturu Village.
