Boko Haram: Fight with us – Chibok mothers write world’s most powerful women

The letter was signed by Yana Galang, Monica Stover, Hannatu Dauda, Mary Shettima, Ladi Zanna Lawan and Rebecca Samuel, on behalf of other mothers.The parents urged the influential women to further intensify their efforts to ensure the release of the remaining girls.

“On April 14th, 2014, 276 of our daughters were abducted by the Boko Haram from their school in Chibok, in Northeast Nigeria. On the way to Boko Haram’s terror enclave of Sambisa Forest, 57 of the original 276 escaped. Since then, 107 more have made it home as a result of national and international negotiations and Nigerian military/para-military intervention.

“We lay our tears at your feet, dear Sisters, and we put our hands in yours to receive strength to rise from the shackles that have imprisoned us and our children.
