The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has said that an auto crash which occurred on Christmas Day in Bauchi State, Northeast Nigeria, killed at least six people. Sixteen others sustained various degrees of injury. The Bauchi State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Yusuf Abdullahi, who made this known in a road traffic report made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), said the accident occurred in Sabuwar Miya village of Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state.

According to Abdullahi, the lone accident, which involved one Toyota Hiace bus with registration number BA124 AO6, occurred around 11:50 am. The FRSC boss said, “Twenty-two people were involved in the fatal road crash and there were two male adults, four male children, 10 female adults and six female children.
He noted that the injured persons and the remains of the deceased had been taken to Kafin Madaki General Hospital, adding that arrangements had been made to transfer the injured persons to Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital for further treatment.
