The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has warned people advocating for the continued detention of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, to beware of dangers looming due to their actions. IPOB issued the warning on Sunday in a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, saying that the push for the actualisation of the Biafra Nation is sacrosanct. IPOB's warning comes a few days after the ex-Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, warned President Bola Tinubu, against releasing Kanu.

June 18, 2023IPOB issued the warning on Sunday in a statement issued by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, saying that the push for the actualisation of the Biafra Nation is sacrosanct.

IPOB's warning comes a few days after the ex-Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, warned President Bola Tinubu, against releasing Kanu. “Releasing Nnamdi Kanu is rewarding criminality and rewarding gruesome murder of innocent people. He should face the law for the actions and instigations he has carried out,” he had added while addressing journalists.

He said,"IPOB is not in the league of militants and oil pipeline guards," but"stands for freedom for Biafrans including those on oil pipeline security guards for the oppressors. He continued,"While the Northern oligarchy oversees the explorations, marketing and looting of the proceeds from the oil, Niger Delta youths are contracted to protect the oil pipelines and infrastructures.
