The Benue State Government has denied the allegations that it had any link with the launch of a private security outfit in the state.

The Deputy Governor, Sam Ode, stated this on Saturday at a press conference in his office in Makurdi, the state capital.

This declaration is coming against the backlash from the opposition Peoples Democratic Party over the purported launch of a security outfit known as Al-Tershak Global Security Limited established in the state. The PDP, while expressing fear about the antecedents of the leader of the private security outfit called on the state government to profile him.

Ode further said, “At no time in the period under review this government authorise the establishment of such security outfit called Al-Tershak Global Security Ltd and did I authorise any group or individual to represent me at such event.
