The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State is getting messier with the indefinite suspension of the Chairman of the party in Buruku Local Government Area, LGA, Mr. Mkaa Pepe by the Executives of his Mbaya Council Ward of the party.
is getting messier with the indefinite suspension of the Chairman of the party in Buruku Local Government Area, LGA, Mr. Mkaa Pepe by the Executives of his Mbaya Council Ward of the party.The notice conveying the suspension of the duo was contained in a letter issued weekend and signed by the Deputy Ward Chairman, Achagh Terver.
The suspended leaders were accused of alleged anti-party activities “in contravention of the provisions of Article 21 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the Constitution of the APC, 2014 as amended. “Anti-party activities which borders on leaking of sensitive APC Party information to opposition members in the Mbaya Council Ward; and for inciting division in our party, which has created disunity and complexity in the party.”
Part of the letter further read “we have watched overtime, your character and conduct, and have found that you are irredeemable after several interface with you to change without positive result. “The Mbaya Council Ward has passed vote-of-no confidence on Hon. Mkaa Pepe and Hon. Michael Orakpe and has inevitably concluded to suspend the duo from our great party the APC to pave way for a corrigible leadership that can inspire respect and confidence in the Ward, Local Government, State and the nation at large.”
