The Bayelsa State Government on Sunday intercepted two buses conveying 17 teenagers suspected to be Almajiris into the state.
The Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Information and Orientation, Freston Akpor, said the two vehicles were intercepted at the Glory Land entry point into Yenagoa, the state capital.
He said the state’s COVID-19 task force officials led by Agberebi Akpoebi with some security operatives enforcing the “no entry order” of the state government at the toll gate, stopped the buses from entering the state.Akpor, who is also a member of the task force, said the buses were ordered to return the occupants to wherever they had brought them from.
