The first neurosurgeon from Bauchi State, Professor Abdu Ibrahim, died yesterday after a brief illness at the Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed in a reaction, condoled the family and people of the state, describing his death as a loss not only to members of his immediate family but also to the people of Bauchi State and the entire nation.

He said Professor Abdu Ibrahim would be remembered by people of the state because of his dogged commitment and enormous contributions in health care delivery since the creation of the state. He prayed that God receives his soul and grants his family and citizens of the state the fortitude to bear the loss.
