Bauchi election: Peace committee speaks on court order over collation of governorship result
DAILY POST recalls that the court on Tuesday restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission from resuming collation of result for Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area, the only LGA left to be announced.insisted that the Federal High Court had no jurisdiction to dabble into a post-election litigation.
Reacting to diverse reactions following the order, the peace committee appealed to supporters to conduct themselves peacefully as they await the outcome of a recent order from the Federal High Court in Abuja halting the collation of result. Abubakar called on all political actors to preach a message of peace to their followers to comport themselves and prevent resentment that could result to violence.
