Some bandits have attacked some communities in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna, killing two farmers while scores of others were kidnapped.

“For now, farmers are afraid to go to farms for their safety; as such food scarcity is looming unless the situation is arrested.

“We are still appealing to President Tinubu that people in our communities are ever ready to assist in dealing with this menace. “The problem is that, based on experience, even if the levy is paid, the bandits will never stop carrying out their attacks against innocent locals.” Recall that bandits had imposed N10m levy on the farmers in the areas which deadline expired on Tuesday, May 30.

As of the time of filing this report, the state police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Mohammad Jalige, had yet to respond to our correspondent’s enquiry on the incident. All rights reserved.
