Katsina State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, has inaugurated a committee that would facilitate the distribution of relief materials to 11 Local Government Areas affected by bandits’ attacks in t

he state.A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Kallah on Tuesday, identified the eleven local governments as Faskari, Batagarawa, Dutsinma, Danmusa, Sabuwa, Jibia, Batsari, Safana, Kankara, Dandume, and Kurfi.

Speaking shortly after the inauguration, the Deputy Governor said the relief materials were aimed at alleviating the sufferings of those affected by the attacks.Alhaji Yakubu added that the committee would work with relevant stakeholders at the state, local government, and wards’ levels to ensure that the relief materials were judiciously distributed to beneficiaries.

The Deputy Governor also expressed displeasure over the activities of bandits in the state, adding that the government was doing all it could to bring an end to the activities. He prayed that the security problem bedeviling the state and country, in general, would soon come to an end so that peace would reign and socio-economic activities would pick up.
