Banditry: Katsina Govt Urges Residents To Be Vigilant, Join Forces With Security Agencies
Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari, speaks during a visit to an IDP camp in the state on June 28, 2020.The Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari has asked residents especially those living in the front line communities to always remain vigilant and inculcate the habit of raising an alarm over suspicious characters or movement of bandits terrorising innocent citizens of the state.
“But with the support of government and residents, there is a better chance of stamping our crime in the state,” he said. He gave the warnings on Sunday at the newly established Katsina People’s Square at a special party meeting aimed at briefing members of the party on the events that have led to the resolution of the central working committee of the party.He said the directives given by the party that all litigations, and court cases should be withdrawn within 14 days is to give the interim management committee an opportunity to fill in vacancies of those that lost their offices due to the resolution.
