Residents of Minna, Niger State capital have appealed to the State Government to hasten the procurement of tricycles and buses to cushion the effect of

popularly known as Okada in Minna metropolis.

Callers said movement has become difficult for the people since the state placed a ban on Okada in the metropolis. Responding, the SSG said the hgovernment is aware of the inconveniences the ban on commercial motorcycles is inflicting on the residents but that the decision was taken in the overall interest of the State.

He explained that the state Government remains committed to the ban on use of Okada in Minna in order to improve the security situation in the state and to curtail criminal activities often perpetrated through the use of motorcycles.
