According to Sun UK, the above-named contenders are all trailing Lionel Messi of Barcelona, who is the odds-on favourite. Relying on Betfare odds, The Sun reports that Lewandowski, Messi and Kante are the leading contenders for the Ballon d’Or Messi is available at 4/11 to secure a record-breaking seventh award when the trophy is dished out in December after scoring 33 goals and providing 13 assists in all competitions for Barcelona last season.
