PORT HARCOURT – THE Foundation for Partnership in the Niger Delta, PIND, has identified lack of access roads, funds and widespread illiteracy as bane of Small and Medium Enterprises, SMEs, development in Nigeria.

PIND’s Market Development Projects Manager, Precious Agbunno, said, “It is not government’s core business to create jobs as SMEs do, but once government creates that enabling environment for SMEs to thrive, they will be create jobs, and government benefits more money because more people will be able to pay tax.”

To the PIND trained service providers, Nnoham-Onyejekwe, said, “My advise to them is to elevate what we have taught them, as well as innovate, expand what we have taught them, and get more tools, there are a lot of business opportunities to explore”
