Three weeks before the Masters, Australia's former winner Adam Scott tests positive for coronavirus and has withdrawn from this week's PGA Tour event.
Australia's former Masters champion Adam Scott has tested positive for the coronavirus and withdrawn from this week's PGA Tour event in California.
The news of his positive test comes on the eve of the Zozo Championship and just three weeks before the start of the Masters, which has been pushed back from its usual April slot to a November 12 start."While it's difficult news to receive — as I really looked forward to playing this week — my focus now is on recovery for the final stretch of the fall," Scott said in a statement.
After self-isolating for 10 days, Scott will not have to be tested again for three months under CDC guidelines the PGA Tour has adopted.
