It was a big moment for the Falcons star, who had her mother in attendance as she scored in a league match, a tremendous moment she had never before witnessed.
Reflecting on the match, Ajibade said, “It was an emotional game for me. I think this is going to live in my heart forever because it is the first time my mom comes to the field to watch me play football. And I was so happy that I could get a goal for her. It’s so special.” Ajibade added, “My mom means a lot to me. My mom is life to me. My mom is everything I have today. I want to always make her proud. I’m happy that today I can make her proud.”
Since joining Atletico from Norway’s Avaldsnes, Ajibade has experienced numerous triumphs on the pitch, contributing to the team’s victories in the Supercopa Femenina and the Trofeo Ramon de Carranza. So far this season, the 23-year-old has scored eight goals and registered one assist in 26 league games. All rights reserved.
