A popular Niger Delta Militant, Asari Dokubo and the Nigerian Army have disagreed over who is responsible for Nigeria’s pervasive crude oil theft.
He refused the claim that it is the citizens of Niger Delta that are responsible for oil theft and rather blamed powerful cabals in Abuja. “It is very pathetic now. What is happening in the Niger Delta in the past eight years was unprecedented in the history of oil production anywhere in the world”, he stated.
According to the Army Spokesperson, the effort of the Military is evident in the increase in daily oil production from an abysmally dwindling output in the past.
