South Africa’s rising star, Tyla, had a night to remember at the 2024 BET Awards, securing the coveted “Best International Act” award.
The talented singer faced stiff competition from a diverse group of nominees, including Asake , Ayra Starr , Aya Nakamura , Bk’ , Cleo Sol , Focalistic , Raye , and Tiakola .Notably, Tyla’s win marks a significant moment for South African music on the international stage. Her self-titled album, “TYLA,” has received commercial success. The album’s lead single, “Water,” has gone viral on social media with a popular dance attached to it and several dance challenge videos.
Also, Tyla received a nomination in the Best New Artiste category with contenders like Ayra Starr, Fridayy, Sexyy Red, 41, 4Batz, Bossman Dlow, and October London.
