The suspect — identified as Steve Addison — was taken into custody Thursday in North Oakland, according to the Berkeley Police Department. He was booked into the city jail on a no-bail murder warrant. Police said the homicide happened July 3 in the 2900 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Officers arrived to find a person dead from what was later determined to be a gunshot wound.“Addison’s arrest helps make our community safer and we do not believe there are any other outstanding suspects in connection with this case,” police said in a community message.
