A Kaduna High Court presided over by Justice Hannatu Gwada has freed 91 members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, also known as Shi’ites.
They were arrested and detained at the Nigerian Correctional Centre, Kaduna for four years.
He said, “The Kaduna State Government that dragged them to court should compensate them for the time, resources lost. It is not too much for the government to engage us and come out with figures .” He said, “The Islamic Movement in Nigeria has today, Friday, 21/2/2020 again secured a favourable judgment in the case brought before the Kaduna State High Court against the last batch of its members detained since December 2015 following the heinous attacks by the Nigerian Army in Zaria.
