APC wins in 13 states, PDP in nine as INEC declares 22 governors-elect

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared winners in 22 of the 29 states where governorship elections were held last Saturday.

Of the states, 13 were won by candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress , leaving the rest for the Peoples Democratic Party .

The states where the INEC will organise supplementary elections are: Sokoto, Bauchi, Adamawa, Plateau, Benue and Kano. The seven incumbent governors who have been declared governors-elect are: Okezie Ikpeazu ; Udom Emmanuel ; Ben Ayade ; David Umahi ; Ifeanyi Okowa ; Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and Dairus Ishaku .
