There is growing unease in Benue State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) over massive recruitment in the state’s civil service and other capital projects embarked upon by the outgoing Peoples Democratic party (PDP) administration of Governor Samuel Ortom. Within the past week, the APC, which won the just concluded governorship election in the state, issued no less than three statements accusing Ortom and PDP of planting landmines in its path ahead of May 29. hand over.

In the latest statement by the state APC’s Publicity Secretary, Daniel Ihomun, in Makurdi, yesterday, the party wondered why a government that has failed to build a Cargo Airport in the state after two attempts in almost eight years suddenly awarded contract to build a Civil Airport in just two months to the end of its time in office.
