The All Progressives Congress appears not to have candidates for the governorship election in Enugu State, scheduled for March 9, 2019.
According to an updated list published on the website of the Independent National Electoral Commission , the space for names of governorship and deputy governorship candidates of the APC were blank. Meanwhile, in the list earlier published by INEC in January 2019, Ayogu Eze and Chukwunta Gilbert Chikwado were listed as APC governorship and deputy governorship candidates for Enugu State, respectively. But there are claims a court sacked Ayogu as the governorship candidate in the state.
The court was also said to have ruled that George Ogara be recognised as the candidate, and his name submitted to INEC.
