The 11 ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress in Akure South Council Area have assured Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, of unprecedented votes in the forthcoming governorship election.
Akinduro said the ward chairmen, led by Ogunleye Sesan, made the declaration during a courtesy visit to the deputy governor on Wednesday. “We are here to felicitate with you on your nomination and to reassure you that we, the APC chairmen of all the 11 wards in Akure south, are solidly behind you. We believe in your capacity and trust that you will be a deputy governor for all.”
Ayodeji stated, “There is no doubt that the APC will win the forthcoming governorship election but we want Akure’s votes to be more than we have ever recorded in any of the past elections.”
