Some All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in Oyo State House of Assembly have lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for approving the upgrade of Emmanuel Alayande College of Education to a degree-awarding university.
The lawmakers, who are the Minority Leader, Asimiyu Alarape; Isiaka Kazeem Tunde , gave the commendation during the second reading of Emmanuel Alayande University of Education, Oyo Bill, 2022 at the plenary.
The minority leader said this could not have come at a more appropriate time than now when the National Certificate on Education certificate is almost becoming unemployable. In his commendation, Tunde noted that the people of the region could not appreciate Makinde enough for the upgrade, adding that the upgrade of the college will further enhance the socio-economic condition of the ancient town.
