Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri, has advised the electorate to avoid the mistake of voting for the ruling All Progressives Congress in the February 25 and March 11 general elections, saying it would amount to endorsing woeful performance of the party if voted to retain power at the centre.
A statement by the deputy governor’s media aide, Doubara Atasi, on Saturday, quoted Diri as stressing that the APC could no longer be trusted with political power, and urging the group to work for the success of the PDP at all levels.
He claimed that his administration had made giant strides in infrastructural development, education, security, sports and virtually all sectors of the economy, adding that this was possible because of his preparedness for governance and the continued support from all well-meaning Bayelsans. “ APC has destroyed Nigeria and cannot be trusted by Nigerians. It cannot be trusted with power in this country. So, vote for the PDP at all levels.”
The Director General of the Ward To Ward for Diri/Lawrence, Ogidi Bara-Ben, said the group was satisfied with the performance of the governor’s administration in different areas, including the progress being made in the construction of the Bayelsa Central senatorial road. All rights reserved.
