A High Court sitting in Gusau, Zamfara State capital has dissolved all executive council members of the All Progressives Congress at all levels.
The court has asked all the executive members of the party to stop parading themselves as party leaders.
The court, which was presided over by Justice Bello Gummi, ordered a for fresh congress, stating that due process should be followed and level playing ground should be given to all members. Justice Gummi said the complaints by Alhaji Surajo Garba and 138 others that they were disenfranchised during the 2018 party congress were genuine.
Counsel for Alhaji Surajo Garba, Misbahu Salaudeen, maintained that members of the party were disenfranchised during the congress, while the counsel for the state party executives, Kelechi Odeoyegbo, said they would study the judgment and possibly appeal.All rights reserved.
