Osita Okechukwu , a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), has strongly condemned the actions of Simon Ekpa , a Finland-based separatist recently arrested. Okechukwu described Ekpa as a criminal and murderer whose activities have had a devastating impact on the Southeast region of Nigeria , disrupting economic stability and causing unnecessary loss of lives.
He praised the efforts of Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and security agencies in apprehending Ekpa and expressed hope for justice, whether in Finland or Nigeria. Okechukwu urged stakeholders in the Southeast to reject Ekpa’s tactics and work towards unity and sustainable development
