Senator Samuel Anyanwu, National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party has emerged as the party’s governorship candidate for the next governorship election in Imo State. Anyanwu emerged as the party’s candidate following its primary election held on Wednesday, SaharaReporters learnt. It was however learnt that the state PDP chairman, Charles Ugwu and former Governor of the state Emeka Ihedioha were absent at the primary election held at the party’s secretariat along Okigwe Road in Owerri, the state capital ahead of the November 11, 2023 governorship election.
