This comes after fresh allegations made by by his ex-girlfriend, Gabriela Cavallin, were published by UOL in his native country. In June, Antony released a statement insisting he had been falsely accused by Ms Cavallin of domestic violence. On Monday, the player said he “trusts ongoing police investigations” to reveal the “truth about my innocence”.However, Brazil has taken the decision to replace Antony with Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus.
