Health officials have announced another four deaths from COVID-19 in British Columbia, as well as 25 more test-positive cases.
That brings the province's death toll to 43 and the overall number of infections recorded since January to 1,291.
But speaking at her daily virus briefing on Tuesday, provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry also noted that the number of hospitalizations has decreased slightly to 138. The number of people with severe COVID-19 infections who are being treated in intensive care also dropped by six, down to 66. In addition, the number of new confirmed cases is the smallest seen in B.C. since March 29, when there were just 16 new cases announced.Looking for an American Sign Language translation of the news conference?
