BREAKING: Angry commuters drag XR protesters off Tube as they try to glue themselves on
AdvertisementA Facebook Live from the station showed that the two men had used a ladder to climb up onto the already packed carriage with an XR banner.
The crowds of commuters were then forced to get off the train, with one person immediately throwing a bag of crisps at the pair. One of the men starts to say: ‘You guys have done nothing wrong. We’re so sorry about this’, prompting shouts of anger. An XR press officer filming the ensuing chaos told his viewers he had been ‘beaten by a mob of people’ for blocking the Tube.He told the camera: ‘We’re doing this because if we don’t take action then we are lost. If we don’t take action in the next 11 years, we could face extinction as species as early as 2050.’
