Anambra: NSCDC seeks Army’s partnership in securing critical national assets

The Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, on Thursday solicited for more support from the Nigerian Army to protect critical national assets in the state. The NSCDC Commandant, Olatunde Maku, who made the call when he visited Col.

Mohammed Abubakar, Commander, 302 Artillery Regiment Nigerian Army , Onitsha, said that the corps’ relationship with the Army had been profitable. “When I resumed my tour of duty, I saw the existing relationship between all security agencies and I keyed into it. I am proud to say that you have not disappointed me. “We appreciate the continuous support of the Nigerian Army in executing our mandate in the protection of critical national, state and local government assets and infrastructure.

The commandant explained that inter agency collaboration would help to rid the state of practices inimical to economic growth and development. Responding, Abubakar thanked Maku for the visit and assured him of enhanced support, collaboration and synergy in the overall interest of the nation. According to him, addressing security problems require collective efforts. “I’m assuring you that the Nigerian Army will continue to do its best to assist NSCDC succeed in Anambra.
