Dr Martin Agbili, Anambra State Fire Service chief, said the service was ready and committed to sustaining its efforts in preventing and controlling fire
Agbili said this to the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Awka.
Agbili said the service had recorded huge results in its service and was very proud to celebrate World International Firefighters Day . “I was happy because the service has been equipped with modern fire fighting tools and personnel, ready to educate the public on fire safety tips and also fight fire outbreaks once it occurs,” he said.
He reminded the public about the need to see the fire service as a channel through which a fire safety-friendly environment could be built because the fighters were ever ready to discharge their duties at all times.
