The leadership of Amotekun Corps in Osun State, on Friday disclosed that its operatives had apprehended a suspect that escaped from police custody.
Parading suspects arrested for various crimes in the state on Friday, the state Commander, Osun Amotekun Corps, Isaac Omoyele, said the suspect, a 26-year-old, John Uba, had fled police custody in Otaefun Division, Osogbo and went on to be involved in armed robbery operations.
“Further investigation revealed that the suspect had previously escaped from the Ota-Efun Division of the Nigeria Police Force. He also confessed to being a repeat offender. “Our personnel apprehended a suspect identified as Aderemi Sheriff, 28 years, while his accomplice escaped. Unfortunately, part of the cable had already been set on fire before intervention.
