Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun, has arrested a couple for alleged involvement in a series of shop break-ins and thefts of goods worth millions of Naira in Akure, the state capital.
The suspects, Adewale Olokungboye, 29, and Ngozi Kenneth, 33, were paraded yesterday at the security agency’s headquarters in Alagbaka, Akure.
He said: “My wife was the one that went to break into the shop. She went with Seun and Daniel in the middle of the night. It was raining heavily that night. It was when I woke up that I saw the goods that they went to steal. I did not bother to ask her where she got the goods from because I had to rush to work that morning.
On her part, Ngozi said she did not participate in the break-in, but only waited to receive the goods. Adeleye added that 31 other suspects involved in various crimes were arrested in various parts of the state, including a motorcycle snatcher who viciously attacked his victim.The United States District Court for the District of Columbia has refused to order top law enforcement agencies in the US to release confidential information on President Bola Tinubu.
