Amnesty International asks IG to investigate police abuse by officers

Amnesty International has described the action of the Police Officer in a trending video as a violation of the young woman’s human rights particularly her rights to dignity.

A video trending on social media showing policeman interrogating a 25-year-old lady, who identified herself as Omobola and asking her embarrassing questions about her sex life. Osai Ojigho, AI Director in Nigeria in a chat with DAILY POST on Thursday, condemned the act adding that there are standard operating procedures for conducting interviews and treatment of those who come in contact with the law.
