The lawmaker representing Obio/Apkor constituency 1, Martins Amaewhule, has emerged Speaker for the Rivers State House of Assembly.Amaewhule and Mao will pilot the affairs of the House for the next 4 years.
The new Speaker of the House was elected after the 10th assembly was proclaimed by the Rivers State Governor Siminilayi Fubara, through a nomination by lawmaker representing Okrika constituency, Linda Stewart. Amaewhule, shortly after the oath of office, promised an assembly that will come up with laws that will stand the taste of time.
