Member of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Yusuf Alli, yesterday, canvassed more allocation to the health sector, describing the ministry as the most valuable in any economy.
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria said the outbreak of the dreaded Coronavirus Disease should serve as “eye-opener” to all the nations of the world that the issues of health should take a pivotal spot on their budgetary allocation.
“In view of this, the pandemic has thrown new challenges to all categories of professionals in the world. The health sector should be treated with preference, especially in the area of budgetary allocation. This will put the whole world at peace.” In his welcome address, the outgoing Chairman of AHAPN, Dr. Kingsley Amibor, said the theme of the conference, ‘Advancing Technology Revolution in Pharmaceutical Service Delivery’, was coined in response to the technological challenges the COVID-19 era brought to the health sector.
“I am using this opportunity to challenge our members to embrace technology in our practice, in line with global practices,” Amibor said.
