The judge, Ijeoma Ojukwu, gave the order in a ruling on an ex-parte motion marked: FHC/ABJ/CR/208/2018 brought by the EFCC’s lawyer, Faruk Abdallah.The EFCC had accused the former minister of fleeing the country for the United Kingdom in order to escape justice.

Earlier, Mr Abdallah, while arguing the motion, noted that since Mrs Alison-Madueke allegedly fled the country, it was difficult to get her back to respond to the various criminal allegations against her.

He added that Mrs Alison-Madueke was also required to clear air on “her role in financing the 2015 general elections, particularly the money that were warehoused at Fidelity Bank Plc in 2015 prior to the elections.”
