In reaction to a recent order allegedly issued by the Indigenous People Of Biafra, IPOB, directing residents to observe two days sit-at-home on October 21 and 22, the Imo State Police Command, in collaboration with the Armed Forces and other security agencies, have deployed security personnel at strategic locations within and outside the state capital to safeguard lives and properties.

'Starting today, October 19, and continuing through October 23, security personnel will enhance visibility policing through these patrols. ' Additionally, detectives will conduct reconnaissance operations to gather actionable intelligence. These efforts aim to reassure the public and maintain law and order,' the statement said. The Command urged citizens to remain calm and vigilant, continuing their daily activities while being mindful of their surroundings.
