The embattled Anambra pupil, Mmesoma Ejikeme who was accused by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) of manually inflating her 2023 UTME result has confirmed that she sent only one SMS to JAMB. Mmesoma revealed this on Wednesday during an interview with Sunrise Daily on Channels Television which was monitored by The Nation. While reacting to JAMB’s claim that she sent a series of messages to the board, she said the only SMS she sent to JAMB was through its support system: “That’s the only SMS I sent there.” JAMB’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, alleged candidate sent a series of messages to the board’s automated telecoms system, including the results showing an aggregate of 362. When asked if she got any feedback, she said: “They didn’t reply. If they check their JAMB Support System, they would see that I sent a text message.
