The Provost of the Federal College of Education, Technical, FCET, Gusau, Hauwau Gimbiya Mukhtar Abdulkarim and a lecturer Abdullahi Boyi, who works with the Sokoto State College of Education (SSCE) Sokoto has been arraigned on alleged certificate forgery.

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC , brought the men before Hon. Justice Muhammad Aliyu Sambo of the Sokoto State High Court. They were arraigned on a six-count charge, registered as charge No. SS/213c/2024.
The ICPC also accused the duo of making false statements to the officers of the anti-graft agency in the course of investigation, which the Commission interpreted as an offence under Section 25 and punishable under Section 25 of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related offences Act 2000. Both defendants however pleaded ‘not guilty’ to all six charges when read to them by the Court’s Registrar. Their lawyers, Dr. Muhammad Mansur Aliyu and Mr. M.
